Another JAFF novelette! ‘And From Longbourn, A Wedding Comes’…

Attention, all lovers of Jane Austen Fan Fiction!

I’ve just released a new novelette, and so far, its reviews have all been positive.

It’s free to download for subscribers to Amazon Kindle Unlimited.

New JAFF release: A Party at Longbourn

Like to read Jane Austen fan fiction? Here’s a new release: the third in my series.

‘A Party at Longbourn’ is a short and sweet novelette, ideal for those who like to read in one sitting.

The newly-widowed Mr Collins is looking for a wife. Will he choose one of the remaining Bennet girls?

This eBook is free to download for Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

Kookaburra Grabs a Treat

It’s not uncommon to discover Australia’s Laughing Kookaburras looking for whatever they can find that picnickers have left behind – or even for these bold birds to snatch a piece of someone’s lunch.

But recently I saw one, that was about to fly off with a piece of orange rind in its beak. Maybe it was health-conscious… How much better was this than, say, half a burned sausage?

A Clean Kookaburra…

Despite the daytime temperature being less than summery, the birds are still to be found cleaning themselves in whatever receptacles of water that they can spot.

Here’s a photograph of a Laughing Kookaburra as he mentally prepares to dry himself after a refreshing dip. Copyright ©                 2015_1028imagefacebook0100

Heron in the Wind

White-faced Herons are solitary creatures, seldom seen in the company of others of their kind.

They don’t seem to care about the weather, for whether it’s sunny, wet, cloudy or windy, I usually see one strutting proudly and purposefully in the local river swimming baths.

Words and photo are copyright.

FREE on 15th and 16th January: Long and Short Australian Stories

‘Long and Short Australian Stories’ is unique among my short story collections in that its first and final stories are relatively lengthy.

On the other hand, in common with its stablemates, this book is filled with tales of sweet romance, making it a pleasant way to relax and fill in a few minutes (or longer), especially at bedtime.

For the first time, this title is free to download on Amazon Kindle. This offer is limited to the 15th and 16th January, 2016. (If you’re outside the US, it might be worthwhile checking the site even on the 17th since, in Australia, it often hangs over for part of the next day.)

Enjoy!
